  17. The  Sticks  extension  is an offical extension and as such is supported by
  18. the  AMOS  Helpline  so  should  you have any problems or want to know more
  19. about  sticks  then  please  ring  them  first,  Bug reports should also be
  20. reported  to  the  helpline these will then be passed onto me.  If for some
  21. reason  you  are not an Amos club member then please don't hesitate to give
  22. me  a  ring or write to me with your suggestions and bug reports.  I cannot
  23. answer by post unless you send a SAE.

  32. Conditions of use:
  33. There are one or two conditions when using the Sticks extension which are.
  34.   o  If  you are using the PD version (unregistered) then you can copy this
  35.      as  much  as  you  like,  even distribute it with your programs if you
  36.      want, as long as the following documents are included:
  37.     REGISTRATION
  38.     ORDER-FORM
  39.     this Amiga_Guide
  40.     and of course the manual.
  41.   o If you have the registered version and you want to distribute a program
  42.     written  using  the sticks extension then you MUST compile the program,
  43.     you  may  also  include  the  ORDER-FORM file if you want but all other
  44.     files are

  46. Installing "Installing Sticks"
  47. This really is simplicity itself. You must boot from the Sticks Disk.
  48. You  then  Double  Click  on the Install_Sticks icon you will find yourself
  49. face  to  face  with  the  Commodore  Installer  ,  Follow  the  on  screen
  50. instruction and Sticks will install itself.
  51. To points to watch out for.
  52.  When  you  are  asked  to  Locate  your  AMOS_System  you  should click on
  53. AMOS_System itself.
  54.  If  you  only  have one disk drive you should leave the Sticks disk in the
  55. drive until you are asked to locate your AMOS_System then wait for the disk
  56. light  to go out the put your AMOS disk in, select Show Drives you may have
  57. to Cancel the requester a couple of times but then your AMOS disk will show
  58. up in the drive list.
  59. Trouble "Trouble Shooting"
  60. There are very few things that can go wrong when using Sticks the following
  61. are  the  only  one  I can think of.  But remember if you get really really
  62. stuck give the help line a ring.
  63. Q. When compiling I get an Extension not Found error.
  64. A. Check you Installed Sticks in the right place.
  65.    Try Installing it again.
  66. Q. Syntax Error when entering Sticks commands.
  67. A. Check you installed the Extension correctly.
  68.    Have you read the manual.
  69.    Ring The HelpLine
  70. Q. I keep getting large requesters when I get something wrong
  71.    and also when I start and quit AMOS.
  72. A. Register your copy of Sticks.
  73. Reg "Registration"
  74. You  have  probably had a little fiddle with sticks by now tryed the demos,
  75. if  you  have  you  may  have  just noticed a minute requester appear maybe
  76. without  you  even  seeing  it  :-).   These  are  there to persuade you to
  77. register  your  copy of Sticks.  So go on have a fiddle a come back to this
  78. section when you decide to register.
  79.   So  your  back  well  I  knew you would be, right now you have decided to
  80. register it time to put pen to paper.  If you have a printer then @{" Click
  81. Here  "  system "stickspd:c/Printfiles SticksPD:docs/Order_Form"} or on the
  82. ORDER-FORM   Icon,  when  the  printer  has  finished  you  should  have  a
  83. registration  form  ready  to be filled in so fill it in and send it with a
  84. cheque for

  93. Are  but  what  if  you  don't have a printer well get a pen and a piece of
  94. paper  and  @{"  Click Here " link OrderForm} simply fill it in and send it
  95. with a cheque to the above address.
  96.    So what do you get if you reqister well you get this:
  97.    o SIX new commands which handle the mouse with software co-ords.
  98.    o A Disk Label
  99.    o and the knoledge that you helped to fund work on Sticks-2.
  100. Future "The Future"
  101.    The  sticks  extension will continue on into another incarnation (no not
  102. the  milk)  yes  thats  right  Sticks-2  at  the  moment I hope to have the
  103. following things included.
  104.    * The power to handle 11 fire buttons (CD-32 joysticks)
  105.    * CDTV controllers 
  106.    * Light  pens (At the moment we are not sure if AMOS screens can handle
  107.      this function if not it will turn up in another extension)
  108.    * Tablets this may be possible but I have to look at the various drivers
  109.      about to see how possible this is.
  110.    * Plus your ideas.
  111. Other "Other Products"
  112.    I  am  currently  working on one other extension for AMOS this is an AGA
  113. extension I cannot give to much away at the moment except, I hope to have a
  114. Display Version (LoadIFF,Screen Close commands only) ready around August 93
  115. time.
  116.    I  am  also  planning  a decent interface extension for AMOS better than
  117. AMOS Pro's, I want it to work more like Intuition or OS2 than AMOS Pro this
  118. is some way off as no coding has started yet maybe 94.
  119.    Also  I  am  going  to be converting the Sticks Extensions over to Blitz
  120. Basic.
